Just had a horrible experience at Longhorn steakhouse. We were seated by the hostess, and never received service from a server. We also asked a server, who was walking by, and asked her where our server was. She stated, "I think we're changing things around so someone will be with you shortly." Another 8 minutes passed and my mom, girlfriend and I left. The manager even looked at our table and still didn't do anything. What a joke of service, went to to Sundance grill where their service is second to none compared to this "Long horn wait"

The service is very slow. My server took 45 minutes to bring my food out and I only ordered a salmon citrus. Her reason was... The salmon is a thicker cut LOL. Really?! The reason is only made for steak!! There was hardly anyone at the place. Excuses! Excuses! Excuses!

Blizzard in Grand Rapids and near hotel. Enjoyed the french onion soup and seasonal brie salad. The salmon yes i am crazy going to a steakhouse for salmon was good. If I had a scale I could show the 7 ounce salmon was closer to 4 or 5. surprised they had no earlybird or appertizer specials. Broccoli and sweet potatoe had too much butter. Very good service.

This is a pretty average chain steak house except for one thing... the staff! We've had great experiences every time we've eaten here. We've had various waiters and waitresses and they all seem to be upbeat, positive and funny. Good lunch specials too.

Went here with some friends and enjoyed the experience. The place was very nice inside and quite fancy. I've visited here twice and just am impressed by the service and the environment. It's just so calm and the food is great. The first time I had their burger and fries and it was delicious! Second visit I had the steak and it was one of the best steaks I've tried. This place is pricey but it's well worth it.

We stopped by here on a whim after barely eating at a quince...walked in the door overdressed and as hungry as two starving polar bears after being forced to share a sardine. This particular restaurant shuts down every other steakhouse I've been to in the history of ever! Not quite as good as throwing a steak on the grill for yourself, but pretty darn close. Ryan -the waiter- had us rolling! Some people don't appreciate funny waitstaff, we are not those people. We don't expect them to hover nor do we expect them to put on a Broadway production but c'mon people...we generally leave the house to have a good time, so if I get to the table laughing and leave laughing, mores the better in my book. That we didn't have to wait long for our appetizer & food was pretty cool too, and his timing was perfect on the refills, leftover boxes and check. We didn't really look over the menu, but here's what we ordered after getting some of Ryan's recommendations: *The Spicy Chili Calamari; was slightly overdone, but it had a nice flavor and was a welcomed switch from the usual fried w/marinara. *Parm Asparagus: "was legitness", unexpected delight, didn't care for the sauce, but I normally dip my asparagus in hot sauce, so.... *Loaded potato was...meh, I mean, it was as potatoed as a potato can be, they cooked it, they cleaned the skin, sour cream bacon & cheese... nothing new or spectacular. *Bread and butter was lubricated carbs, I didn't eat it, but my husband "mmm'd" a couple of times so I'm going to assume it was good. *Salads weren't anything fancy either, I had the house, he had the Caesar. *Steaks. I had the t-bone & Hub had the strip. Ryan informed us prior to ordering that the steaks were seasoned well and NO COMPLAINTS...what he should have said was "seasoned to perfection". I've ordered $$$ steaks before that couldn't, don't, and shouldn't even try to compare. They were seasoned so well we really didn't need sauce but old habits die hard and I like mine with a smudging of Tabasco. Cooked to perfection which is med-well for us, and oooooooh sooooo tender. I think Jesus blessed the chef before he walked into work that day. Best steaks ever (yes, even over Carrabbas). *mic drop* *whispers* I hope the LongHorn in Lansing is just as good.

Great service and very clean. Came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was still pretty busy. Meals are served with a good honey wheat bread. I had the porterhouse which was cooked perfectly medium rare. The steak was seasoned well but the overall thickness was the reason for the missing star. It was thinner and your usual steak and therefore felt like a cheaper cut. I am used to a porterhouse being 3/4th to an inch and this was closer to half. The salad was delicious and the baked potato was actually loaded, both pluses. A tab bit overpriced but overall a wonderful experience.

Typical chain restaurant, part of Darden. Have seasonal offerings which I always opt for. Seasonal: tried mushroom bisque and mushroom risotto, both with truffle oil. Both were almost overpowered by the truffle oil. Tried their Primetime burger which featured prime rib and a half pound party. Was definitely filling and their Parmesan Garlic fries were great. Having had both lunch and dinner here before, better value is at lunch.

I dropped in after reading a couple yelp reviews. I had the 6 oz sirloin special for 12.99. Salad, bread, a very nice steak done just right, and an ice cream Sunday for dessert. More food than I needed...and the food and service were both great. I highly recommend! See my photo of the steak and salad.

We had horrible experience from Longhorn. We called ahead because we were told to do this last time we had been there. They told us they didn't have that service when we called but that there was currently no wait. We were about 7 min away from them. When we got there they went from a no wait to a 2 hour wait. The hostess was super rude to us and more less told us we were horrible ppl lied to us telling us they never told us there was no wait. She also told us that Longhorn didn't offer call ahead service yet right next to her was a card offering it. After waiting for about an hour we were finally seated the hostess threw our menus on the table never got us any highchairs so we were just standing there and never came back to offer them to us. We had amazing waitress who said sorry for the hostess. I ended up called corporate and talked to the owner of this and told him my experience he was amazing. But I have yet to return. The food was great but the hostess was absolutely horrible.

I was extremely dubious, having worked for nearly a decade at one of Chicago's better steakhouses and living in Chicago with a plethora of good steak restaurant options. But my dad really likes this place (Flo's Filet) and it was his 87th birthday. So I shut up about wanting to go to Chop House, or Ruth's Chris, etc. I do hate that they don't take reservations. Especially as we were a party of 10. For the price? The food was very good. I couldn't bring myself to order steak and so ordered the ribs which were very good. I had a bit of my sister's filet and it was good. Ok, it was good enough. Extremely small wine list and (of course) they were out of the Cab I wanted. Oh well. Service was ok. Food was better than average and the prices were fine. As for the reviewers who complained about their steaks..... when you order a steak medium-well or well-done, you have nothing to complain about. A steak ordered that (over)done is generally going to taste like crap and probably be tough and chewy. If you're pregnant, the focus is on ground meats being cooked through (medium-well) but steak? Not so much. Especially at a steakhouse that purportedly has good-quality meats. -- I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars because a manager at Longhorn (Justin S.) was so responsive to the concerns I posted. He took the time to ask more questions and was truly professional.

Great place. Sat at the bar and service was quick. Their credit card machines were down and they were working hard and keeping up despite that issue. The manager also was going around making sure everyone was happy and customers were taken care of. My steak, salad and asparagus all tasted great.

Used to be my favorite restaurant but the last two times I visited our silverware and bread plates were filthy. One of the plates had some old crusty cheese on it, and a lot!! One of the forks actually had a grain of rice stuck between the tines. Makes you wonder what was on the plates served with food!! Extremely gross.

Longhorn used to have good steaks. A few years ago, they changed suppliers and the quality went straight downhill, but their prices stayed the same. They were offering inferior cuts of meat at above average prices so we stopped eating there and haven't been back since. Oh, and be warned that what they call "seasoned" is really just tons of salt.

I really enjoy Longhorn Steakhouses. The food is always great, and the steaks are cooked really well. I was a little let down tonight with the service. When we entered the hostess greeted us right away with a great big smile. There was only two of us, and I could see plenty of tables. But she had us wait a few minutes while she went back by the kitchen to see if our server was ready to work. Then came back and seated us right near the bathrooms. Which wasn't all that bad, it was quieter back in the corner. But we waited almost 15 minutes to have our drink and food order taken. That was way too long. We were almost considering walking out. But after our order was taken, the server was great and very attentive. We both had the 10oz New York Strip Steak and it was incredible. I highly recommend having the steaks with the side of mushrooms and onions. Such a great pair together. Other than the long wait, our experience tonight was great.

Empty tables and they make you wait in the lobby. 5 parties waiting to be seated. More than a 25 minute wait. Seriously? A Tuesday evening at 7:30. Called ahead to save time from the 45 minute quoted wait time. You should always seat people if you have empty seats. Who wants to sit in the lobby? Good food - terrible customer service. We left. They were not rewarded with our business.

We came as a date place for my boyfriend, a steak addict, and it was not a great place for a date. Tons of obese families eating steaks as large as their 12 inch plates. It was loud, and the service was lackluster. Waitress kept missing my empty glass of water. My boyfriend's steak, while not expensive, was not worth the wait or trip. The location is also small for a chain restaurant. Good for a family visit if there is a special, but not for special occasions or dates!

We celebrated a birthday here tonight and was an excellent choice. Seated immediately, clean tables, professional server. All the cowboy items on the wall may want you to let go a 'Yeh-Ha", but try to refrain. Dishes were brought to our table in a fluid flow over the course of an hour that kept the conversation going without any lulls in waiting for food. We started off with a shrimp and jalapeno appetizer in a boat dish which was very tasty. I had the Southern Fried Chicken Salad which composed of fried chicken nuggets on a salad with honey crusted pecans, mandarin orange slices, red onion, and cornbread croutons (YUM!..as Rachel Ray would say) with a honey mustard based dressing (on the side naturally for fatty here). I would recommend the Sonoma Chicken Salad though. Dessert was a key lime pie that was tasty, but seemed like it was just taken out of a box from the frozen section at the local grocery store...I prefer my Aunt's homemade pies. One of the steaks had to be returned because it was overcooked and yet cold (odd combo), but the server and manager were pleasant about it and the second steak was perfect. A good choice if you like chain restaurant style steakhouses.

My S.O and I had a gift card for here so we decided to make a date night of it with dinner and a movie (movie first for matinee prices). We were seated within minutes, and Staci (our server) was taking our drink order. While my s.o. was disappointed they didn't have Budweiser on tap he willingly drank his bud lite. I didn't know what I wanted so Staci recommended the strawberry goldrush, she was right it was tasty! When the drinks came she also brought us a basket of bread that tasted homemade and had grain in it, yum! We ordered the Parmesan crusted asparagus ( It was awesome! Who knew asparagus could be that good?) and the Shrimp and lobster dip ( just o.k.) for the appetizers. He ordered the T-bone med. rare with mashed potatoes and a salad. He raved about the potatoes ( I think I make better ones, personally) and was very pleased to see that he actually got med. rare. I ordered Flo's filet (well done, bc bloody isn't appetizing to me) and lobster tail with the fire grilled corn on the cob. The lobster had a nice smoky taste, both my filet and his T-bone were so tender you almost didn't even need a knife to cut it. The corn was just ok, I think it could've been better what with all the sweet corn and peaches and cream corn out now. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs ( we both ended up with doggy bags) but that didn't stop me from ordering dessert to go. I ended up choosing the chocolate stampede minus the ice cream (wouldn't hold up well on the drive back to kalamazoo). Wow, 2 huge pieces that are definitely going to cure my chocolate craving for today AND tomorrow. Overall, we had a fine time. Good food, good ambiance and good service. Thanks Staci! We'll be back :)

We started with the complimentary (and very good) bread and a Texas Tonion which the onion was good.
